Two of the UK’s leading holiday park groups Park Resorts and Haulfryn Group have chosen Ramtech, market leaders in wireless communication technology, as their sole supplier of holiday home alarm systems for their parks. The service includes the supply, installation and ongoing maintenance of the company’s wireless alarm technology.
Ramtech has already installed systems at 37 parks owned by Park Resorts and have now just been appointed to install similar systems at South View Leisure Park in Lincolnshire and Manor Park in Norfolk.
Similarly Ramtech has installed alarm systems in 16 of Haulfryn’s parks in various locations stretching from North Wales to the south of England and has now been awarded contracts for systems at their Dartmoor View Holiday Park in Devon and Praa Sands in Cornwall.
The system comprises of a central alarm monitoring system and base station located within the park’s main offices. This in turn interfaces with individual battery operated alarms in each static caravan. Park staff, are then alerted to any break-ins attempts and can immediately investigate and take appropriate action.
Once installed the systems can be used for other applications too. Additions to the system include internal and external appliance protectors to safeguard individual high value items kept either inside or outside caravans; CO, gas and fire protectors; panic alarms and pump alarms which detect any faults within water pumps.
The alarm systems provide greater levels of security and peace of mind for guests particularly when they are away from the park. As a result parks offering this level of security are proving to be more attractive to caravan owners. For park operators themselves, such systems provide a highly cost effective way of ensuring 24/7 monitoring of parks and caravans as well as an additional income stream through selling the individual alarms to caravan owners.
Andy Hicks, managing director of Ramtech, said: “We are delighted to have continued to build on our relationships with Haulfryn Group and Park Resorts. Both are market leaders in the holiday park industry and it has been a pleasure to help both companies build on their reputation for providing a high quality service to caravan owners that choose their parks.”
Kevin Shaw, regional director of Park Resorts, said: “We are committed to ensuring that our customers receive the highest quality service. Maintaining a safe environment and providing a home from home experience is key to this and Ramtech plays an important part in making this happen.”
Jim Gandon, sales director at Haulfryn Group, said: “The Ramtech security systems work effectively on our other parks so we asked them to help us at Dartmoor and Praa Sands. We have chosen Ramtech as our alarm supplier as they are a long established business with a strong reputation in the holiday park industry.”
Ramtech alarm systems are currently installed in 30,000 holiday homes at over 250 park sites throughout the UK, with a rapidly growing number connecting to the internet through the Ramtech Park Wi-Fi internet service.
