At Warden Spring Holiday Park in Kent, police managed to capture a thief who had been breaking into holiday homes.
The thief was caught after a response from park security who were alerted by the Ramtech alarm system. The thief confessed to the break in and also to committing eight other prior break-ins at the same park.
Mark Galpin, general manager at Warden Springs, said: “We had been experiencing a spate of break-ins over the course of a few weeks and were convinced it was the same gang however none of the caravans in question had any kind of protection. On this occasion they picked the wrong van and were caught in the act, the icing on the cake was when they admitted to the other burglaries on the park, since then we have not had any more incidents.”
Andy Hicks, managing director of Ramtech, said: “The capture of the thief at Warden Springs is an example of how our systems help to provide the very best protection for park operators and the homes on their sites, particularly at a time when domestic burglaries are on the rise.”
