Wireless communication specialist Ramtech Electronics has moved to larger premises following the expansion of its business.
The company, which was formerly based in Radford, has moved to the building previously occupied by Derbyshire & Nottinghamshire Chamber of Commerce on Abbeyfield Road in Lenton. It provides Ramtech, which currently employs about 30 people, with increased space for its manufacturing and R & D departments as well for its sales and administration teams.
Ramtech specialises in wireless systems to provide security, internet access, wifi and CCTV services on holiday parks and marinas throughout the UK and has become a market leader in the development, installation and maintenance of these systems for a prestigious range of clients.
More recently the company has diversified into other industry sectors with the launch of WES for the construction industry which can be used to alert workers on construction sites in the event of a fire. This new product has been warmly welcomed by many of the main contractors.
“We had outgrown the premises we previously occupied and needed to find a larger facility that provided us with suitable accommodation for both our manufacturing operations as well as for our office based staff,” said Andy Hicks, managing director of Ramtech. “The premises at Abbeyfield Road are just perfect and ideally situated right next to the ring road in Nottingham. The accommodation has provided us with the flexibility for various uses including offices, assembly and storage.”
The property deal was secured by Chris Sinclair of Innes England, who acted on behalf of the landlord. He said: “We were delighted to secure such a good quality occupier as Ramtech on behalf of our client. The building is a good, well presented office building in a mixed commercial location being situated next to the Audi showroom. It offers great access to the ring road with car parking which is both plentiful and secure.”
