Wireless communications systems specialist, Ramtech, have just completed a contract with Parkdean Holidays to install Wi-Fi Hotspots across their entire estate of 24 parks around the UK.
The contract involved the installation of up to 4 wireless access points on each park to give customers internet access in communal areas of the park such as bars, restaurants and clubs. Ramtech’s team of engineers carried out the work over a 5 week period. They handled the initial installation and will then provide ongoing support to the parks which range from Mullion in Cornwall in the south, to Grannie’s Heilan’ Hame in Dornoch Firth, Scotland in the north.
The contract was awarded to Ramtech following the successful installation of Wi-Fi Hotspots last year at two of Parkdean’s holiday parks: Warmwell and St Minver. It continues a successful relationship between Parkdean and Ramtech that dates back to 1999, with Ramtech having already installed alarm systems at 19 of their parks.
Parkdean’s Group IT manager, John Tighe, said: “We are very happy to have chosen Ramtech to install and manage the Wi-Fi Hotspots in all 24 of our award winning family parks. The provision of free Wi-Fi access to our customers has been a great success which supports our decision to roll out the service and by selecting Ramtech to undertake the project. Despite the very tight timescales and the physical distances involved Ramtech have provided us a first class service that was on time and exceeded all our expectations.”
Andy Hicks, managing director of Ramtech, said: “We are delighted to be building on our relationship with Parkdean by expanding the range of services and products that we provide to them. Our dedicated team of IP wireless specialists led by Darrel Rhodes, worked on this project, using their specialists skills and knowledge to handle the installation for Parkdean.”
